General Information

MHMA has been accredited by ANSI as the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Administrator for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 5, Sub-Committee (SC) 11. In this role, MHMA will administer the procedures of the TAG and report directly to ANSI. ANSI is the United States representative to ISO for all matters relating to International Standards.

TC5/SC11 is the ISO sub-committee that covers flexible metallic hoses and expansion joints. There are currently thirteen published standards under the sub-committee:

ISO 7369:1995 Pipework -- Flexible metallic hoses -- Vocabulary of general terms
ISO 7657:1995 Pipework -- General requirements for stripwound flexible metal hoses
ISO 7658:1984 Pipework -- Stripwound flexible metal hoses -- Testing and verification of characteristics
ISO 8444:1985 Pipework -- Double overlap flexible metal hoses (copper packing, limited tightness, circular section, in protected carbon steel)
ISO 8445:1995 Pipework -- Double overlap flexible metal hoses (with packing, leakproof, circular section, in protected carbon steel)
ISO 8446:1995 Pipework -- Double overlap flexible metal hoses (with packing, leakproof, circular section, in austenitic stainless steel)
ISO 8447:1986 Pipework -- Single overlap flexible metal hoses (rubber packing, limited tightness, circular or polygonal section, in protected carbon steel)
ISO 8448:1986 Pipework -- Double overlap flexible metal hoses (unpacked, limited tightness, circular or polygonal section, in protected carbon steel)
ISO 8449:1995 Pipework -- Single overlap flexible metal hoses (with packing, limited tightness, circular or polygonal section, in protected carbon steel)
ISO 8450:1986 Pipework -- Single overlap flexible metal hoses (unpacked, no tightness, circular or polygonal section, in protected carbon steel)
ISO 10380:1994 Corrugated flexible metallic hose and hose assemblies
ISO 10806:1994 Pipework -- Non-alloyed and stainless steel fittings for corrugated flexible metallic hoses
ISO 10807:1994 Pipework -- Corrugated flexible metallic hose assemblies for the protection of electrical cables in explosive atmospheres
